Dermatopathology a subspeciality of dermatology and pathology is the study of cutaneous disorders at microscopic level. This is why Dermatopathologists work in close association with dermatologists at Cosmetique.
One of the greatest challenges of dermatopathology is an enormous variety of skin disorders. There are an estimated 1500 different rashes and skin tumors, including variants. Therefore, an accurate microscopic interpretation of skin biopsy is important for optimal management.

Our Services / What We Test
Infection Diagnosis (Fungal/Bacterial)
Skin samples are tested in the lab to identify fungal or bacterial infections causing skin problems.
Hair & Nail Pathology
Hair and nail samples are examined to diagnose conditions like hair loss, fungal infections, or nail disorders.
Autoimmune Skin Disorders (DIF)
A special immunofluorescence test is used to detect autoimmune-related skin diseases like pemphigus or lupus.
Skin Cancer Screening (Melanoma, BCC, SCC)
Skin tissue is tested to check for melanoma, basal cell, or squamous cell carcinoma at an early stage.
Mole & Growth Evaluation
Moles or unusual skin growths are examined closely to check whether they are normal or need further testing.
Skin Biopsy Analysis
A small skin tissue sample is examined under a microscope to identify the exact cause of a skin condition.
Our Process : How It Works
Consultation
You begin with a consultation with our board-certified dermatologist. They will assess your skin condition and recommend a biopsy or lab test if needed.
Sample Collection (Biopsy)
If a biopsy is required, our trained staff carefully collect a small tissue sample with minimal discomfort. The procedure takes only a few minutes to complete.
Lab Analysis
Your sample is processed in our advanced in-house laboratory, where our board-certified Dermatopathologist examines the tissue in detail under the microscope to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
Report & Treatment Plan
Once the diagnosis is complete, you receive a detailed report (usually within 3-5 working days), and our dermatologist develops a personalized treatment plan based on the findings.
